Corey Cobb entered plea Monday in Marion County court

A Hannibal man, charged with murder in an early-June 2020 shooting, has pleaded Not Guilty.

Corey Cobb entered that plea Monday at his arraignment in Marion County Circuit Court, just five days after probable cause was found against him. Cobb faces one count of 2nd Degree Murder. He's accused in the June 4, 2020 shooting death of 45-year old Billy Williams of Hannibal. He died of his wounds at Hannibal Regional Hospital. The incident happened at a home in the 2100 block of Gordon Street. Cobb was returned to Marion County in mid-June, after being arrested two days earlier in the St. Louis area by U.S. Marshals.

Cobb's in the Marion County Jail on $1 million cash-only bond. He could learn when he'll go on trial May 17th.
