Accused of two counts of Battery; prelim set for next month

A Quincy man, caught by police Wednesday after a foot chase on the city's southeast side, has appeared in court.

21 year old Daniel Holdiman made his first appearance in Adams County court Thursday morning. He's been charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and Aggravated Battery in a Public Place after an incident early Wednesday morning in the 800 block of North 12th. Police say a woman told them she'd been attacked by Holdiman, who she said was an ex-boyfriend. Officers tried to talk to Holdiman later that morning at a house in the 2300 block of Harrison, but he ran from them. Holdiman was later caught several blocks south of the home, in the 2200 block of Waters Court.

Holdiman's in the Adams County Jail on $100,000 bond, and will have a preliminary hearing July 12th.
