Winter Weather Advisory from Midnight to Noon Thursday
Most of the WTAD listening area may see more icy conditions overnight into Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Adams, Brown and Pike Counties in Illinois, and Marion, Lewis, Ralls, Monroe, Pike, Knox and Shelby Counties in Missouri from Midnight to Noon Thursday. The Weather Service says that a mix of precipitation is expected, with total wet snow accumulations of up to a half inch and ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch expected. They add that the ice will result in difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Thursday. You should also be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
Counties to the north including Hancock and McDonough Counties in Illinois, Clark and Scotland Counties in Missouri and Lee County, Iowa have a chance of snow and freezing drizzle overnight into Thursday morning.
