An Illinois State Representative running for Governor in the March GOP primary against Bruce Rauner says she won't raise taxes as Governor. Scott Hardy has more.

42nd District State Representative Jeanne Ives was in Quincy Tuesday, and made that statement during an appearance on WTAD's News Round Table. She says that an Ives administration would cut spending.

Ives says that she'd also work to halt what she called a corruption tax, citing the 2015 College of DuPage scandal, as well as a $600,000 buy-out last year for the out-going President of Northern Illinois University. In both instances, Ives blamed Governor Rauner.
