Mexico, MO man was to have entered a plea Thursday

A Mexico, Missouri man, charged with murder in the death of his fiance’ two days before their planned April wedding, will get a new judge to hear his case.

James Addie was due to be arraigned Thursday in Monroe County Circuit Court on counts of First Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action. That was delayed, after Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd granted a defense request filed Thursday for a new judge. That new judge will now be assigned by the Missouri Supreme Court. Addie was charged one day after the body of 35 year old Molly Watson of Huntsville was discovered in Monroe County. Prosecutors say Watson was shot once in the head, and according to Addie, the two were to be married in Columbia later that weekend. The pair had a relationship for seven years, even though Addie's been married to his current wife for 22 years. He allegedly told law enforcement “I got myself involved in something I shouldn’t have.”

Addie's being held in the Monroe County Jail on $500,000 cash-only bond.
