Jason Lage, a Columbia, Missouri man charged with first degree murder in the 2014 death of a Monroe County man, wants his trial moved.

Lage's lawyer James McConnell filed several motions Thursday in Monroe County Court, including asking for a change of venue, and a new judge. McConnell also filed motions asking that certain witnesses be excluded from the trial and any deals the prosecution made with its' witnesses be disclosed. Lage is charged with 1st Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action and Evidence Tampering in the 2014 shooting death of Zachary Dawson of Madison. The shooting happened at a house in Madison in February 2014, when Lage allegedly held a gun to Dawson's head to intimidate him during a robbery, and it went off.

Lage's in the Monroe County Jail on one million dollars' bond. A hearing on when those motions will be heard has yet to be set.
