Precipitation averaged 0.26 inches statewide, 0.49 inches below normal. There were 5.4 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 5 percent very short, 19 percent short, 72 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5 percent very short, 23 percent short, 70 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus.
Corn harvested for grain was 92 percent complete, compared to 96 percent for the 5-year average.
Soybean harvest was 86 percent complete, up 9 percentage points from last week.
Cotton harvest was 92 percent complete, compared to 83 percent for the 5-yer average.
Sorghum harvest was 90 percent complete.
