Admitted pointing gun at QPD officer last July
A Quincy man, who admitted pointing a gun at Quincy police outside a hotel in late July, has been sentenced to prison.
31 year old Daniel Montgomery was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday at a hearing in Adams County court. He plead Guilty in late November to charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and meth possession, as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. In return, charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and resisting arrest were dropped. Montgomery and 21 year old Colton Parsons were arrested in a room at Quincy's Eagle's Nest Hotel, after police say Montgomery pulled a gun on an officer outside the hotel before the pair ran inside.
Parsons is on probation, after pleading Guilty to a charge of attempted possession of a stolen vehicle.
