Two-term Mayor made announcement Thursday online
Saying he doesn't want devisiveness in Quincy, Mayor Kyle Moore says he won't run for re-election next year. Scott Hardy has more.

Moore made the announcement Thursday morning on his Mayoral Facebook page. In a video address, Moore says that elections can be "bitter affairs", and that the city deserves to have an election that would unify it for the future. He explains why he's not running next April.

So far, two candidates have announced they're running to succeed Moore; 32-year old Brandon Koch and 17-year old Quincy High School student Brennan Hills.
