Out of 17 new cases Sunday, 8 are aged 10-29

More Adams County youth are being infected with COVID-19, according to the latest numbers from the Adams County Health Department.

On Sunday, the Health Department reported 17 new cases of the virus. They include five boys age 10 to 19, and 3 people in their 20's. In fact, the latest figures show that the highest number of infections by age are among people in their 20's, with 183. The total number of positives is now at 973. 124 cases are currently considered active. The good news is that hospitalizations continue to decrease. Just 5 people are currently in the hospital, ranging in age from 60 to 89, and none of them are in the Intensive Care Unit. The 14 and 28 day hospitalization rates continue to fall, as well. Adams County's seven-day positivity rate keeps climbing, and is at 6.6 per cent. The 14-day positivity rate has also increased, and is now at 6 per cent.

10 Adams County residents have died of COVID-19.
