New facility will house 100 employees; drive-in viewing of facility set for Saturday

Blessing Health System says its' $25 million facility at 48th and Maine will open Monday, and they plan to hold a virtual open house Saturday.

Blessing announced Wednesday that the new 80,000 square foot outpatient location, called the Blessing Health Center 4800 Maine, will open Monday. About 100 employees will be based at the new location, which has been under construction since late July 2018. Blessing says that due to COVID-19, they'll host what they're calling a unique open house Saturday in the form of a drive-in video viewing of facility. That will happen at both 8:45 and 9:15 P.M. in the Center’s parking lot. Space is limited for each viewing, and social distancing guidelines will be followed as attendees will stay in their cars to view the virtual tour of the new facility, while listening to the video transmitted through a special radio signal.

Nine medical specialties will be consolidated in the new center. Blessing Vice President Scott Koelliker, appearing Wednesday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show, is a registered nurse with advanced training in hospital administration. He helped design the new office space to met the needs of patients and care-givers.
