More details have been released in the case of a Quincy man, who faces 8 child-sex counts in Pike County, Illinois after his arrest Tuesday.

Pike County State's Attorney Zachary Boren Wednesday afternoon released a probable cause statement, detailing the charges against 48-year old Jeffrey Peters. In it, Peters is alleged to have solicited and groomed an 11-year old Pleasant Hill girl over Instagram on April 14th and 15th. The statement also says that Peters sent messages and a picture. He's been charged in Pike County with one count of Predatory Indecent Solicitation, a second count of Indecent Solicitation, four counts of Grooming and two misdemeanor counts of Distributing Explicit Material to a Minor. Peters was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Quincy police at a traffic stop at 27th and Cherry. In a statement, the QPD says they started their investigation earlier this month after learning about the messages. After the arrest, the QPD says they executed a search warrant on Peters's home in the 400 block of Evergreen Drive West.

Peters is in the Pike County Jail on $50,000 bond, and will be in court Tuesday.
