QPD says shooting happened in 700 block of Cedar
One person is dead, and another is in custody after a fatal shooting Wednesday morning on Quincy's northwest side.
Quincy police haven't identified the victim, or who they have in custody. They do say they were called to a home in the 700 block of Cedar, just before 4 AM Wednesday on a report of a shooting. When offices got there, they say they found the victim, who had been shot once. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say that they have a person of interest in custody. They add that the two knew each other.
Police say that they do expect to release more information as it becomes available.
