Sheriff's Department says driver had to be pulled from his burning vehicle
A Timewell, Illinois man was seriously hurt Wednesday morning, and had to be pulled from his burning car by another person who was driving by.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office identifies the victim as 21-year old Justin Shepherd. A report says Shepard lost control of his car just after 1:00 A.M. and ran into a tree alongside North 1200th, about five miles northeast of Liberty. The car then caught fire. A second, unknown driver saw the accident, stopped and was able to pull Shepard out of his vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
Shepherd was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.
