One happened Friday afternoon, the other Sunday

The Quincy Fire Department says it will be changing out two more bulbs in its' Keep the Wreath Red campaign, after blazes Friday and Sunday.

On Sunday the QFD says it responded to a home in the 2500 block of Steven Drive on the city's north side, for a report of flames visible. They say heavy smoke was visible when they got there. Fire investigators think the flue pipe of the water heater had caught insulation on fire. The QFD says Friday's fire happened in the 2200 block of Aldo Boulevard. They say a garage was fully involved when they arrived, shortly before 2:30 PM. After an investigation, it was determined that the fire was started by an electric blanket used to keep pets warm. As part of the Keep the Wreaths Red program, the Quincy Fire Department will change two more bulbs from red to white at each fire station around the city and three other locations.

These are the second and third fires during the campaign, which runs through January 1st.
