Foul Play not suspected
Quincy police say they're conducting a death investigation, after a body was found just off North 5th Street Saturday.
Police released a statement Saturday night, saying they were called about the body around 3:20 PM by someone walking their dog, who found the body in the woods, about 100 yards west of North 5th, near train tracks. Police say they and Adams County Coroner Jim Keller are working to identify the body. They do say that foul play's not suspected, and that investigators "don't believe a train was involved" in the death.
Keller's expected to release an identity once it's been determined, and next of kin are notified.
