Incident happened Monday night
Quincy police have released more details about an incident Monday night on the city's southwest side, saying that it was not an attempted Child Abduction.
Police said Tuesday that the incident happened around 6:45 PM at 7th and Monroe. They say that a caller told them that a car was parked in the middle of the road. They add that according to the caller, when her child tried to cross at the intersection, the vehicle wouldn't move. Police say there was no contact between the driver and the child when crossing the road. After the child crossed, the vehicle then left towards 8th & Monroe. The caller gave a description of the vehicle and asked that officers check the area.
Police say the caller did not want face to face contact with officers.
