1,098 students on campus this Fall

Quincy University says its' enrollment is down 6% from last year, which it expected due to its' recent financial problems.

The University released enrollment figures Tuesday, saying 322 new students came to campus this August. It also says that 651 undergraduates returned, and that the overall enrollment this Fall is just under 1,100 students. In a statement, QU President Phil Conover said "there are several new initiatives in place locally and in the region that will put us on good ground to begin growing our enrollment”.

QU also says it's working with a national marketing company to re-brand the university. That includes a complete overhaul of admissions marketing materials and the prospective student communication flow process. “The campus community came together and did an outstanding job of enrolling students who are a good fit for QU and who are academically and financially prepared for college,” said Tom Oliver, vice president for enrollment management. “Our goal this year was to strategically use our financial aid to positively impact our net tuition revenue.”
