The Council will hold a special Meeting of the Whole at 6 PM, to talk about ways to either cut back on services, raise fees or possibly both. Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore, appearing Tuesday on WTAD's Mary Griffith Show, says that the city's missing a million dollars in funding from the state of Illinois, and that there's no more fat to trim from the budget.

Moore says he's told department heads to scale their spending back to 2016 levels. Moore also says that one possible way to raise revenue is through a tax on dining out and alcohol.

Moore adds that 40% of the money raised from the tax would be from tourists. Hear the full interview with Mayor Kyle Moore in the podcast section.
