Travis Wiley will go on trial March 14

A Quincy man, charged with 1st Degree Murder in the January 2018 death of a baby, will now go on trial in March.

Travis Wiley was in Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday for a status hearing. Records show Wiley will go on trial starting March 14th. He was set to go on trial late last month, but that date was stricken at a pre-trial hearing. Wiley will have two experts testify on his behalf during the trial, including Dr. Jane Turner. She testified for the prosecution in the Curtis Lovelace murder trials. Wiley's pleaded Not Guilty to three counts of 1st Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery to a Child. He was indicted on the charges in mid-July 2018 by an Adams County Grand Jury after a six-month investigation. Wiley's accused of shaking the unidentified baby in January 2018. The baby died two days later at a St. Louis hospital.

Wiley's in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
