Jeffrey Peters, 48, arrested Tuesday afternoon on 3 child-sex counts
Quincy police executed an arrest warrant out of Pike County, Illinois Tuesday.
48 year old Jeffery S Peters of 432 Evergreen Drive, West, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Indecent Solicitation of a Child, Grooming and Distribution of Harmful Material to a Minor.
Quincy police began their investigation earlier this month after learning an adult male from Quincy was communicating a boy under the age of 17 from Pleasant Hill. Peters was arrested without incident at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon near 27th and Cherry. Police then executed a search warrant on his home.
Peters was later transferred to the custody of the Pike County Sheriff and lodged in the Pike County Jail
