Nathan Craig arrested after raid on room at Welcome Inn

A Quincy man faces a meth charge after authorities raided a motel room he had rented.

The West Central Illinois Task Force says 40 year old Nathan Craig was arrested Wednesday night at the Welcome Inn at 200 Maine by the Task Force, along with Quincy police and the Adams County Sheriffs Office. In a statement, the Task Force says that when officers went into the room, they saw Craig destroying evidence in the toilet. After a short struggle Craig was arrested, and taken to the Adams County Jail were he remains in wait of a bond hearing. Officers seized a quantity of meth from the toilet. Craig's also charged with Obstruction.

Court records show that Craig has previously been sentenced to prison twice, for Possession of a Controlled Substance and for Obstruction of Justice.
