Keith Young charged with Attempted Murder

New details have been released about the alleged actions of a Quincy man, charged in connection with the Friday night stabbing on the city's northwest side that left one person hospitalized.

The Adams County State's Attorney's Office charged 19-year old Keith Young Monday with counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, and a Class X count of Home Invasion. A charging document says that Young stabbed a second man in the back, face and neck Friday night during a fight at 5th and Chestnut. That man was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries. Prosecutors say that Young broke into a home in the 1000 block of Jersey early Sunday morning. The charging document says that Young was armed at the time, and threatened a person living there. He was arrested Sunday afternoon at that home.

Young is in the Adams County Jail on $500,000 bond, and is due in court Monday afternoon.
