Uninjured in Randolph Co incident
A Quincy man is lucky to have escaped without injury, after his semi caught on fire Monday in central Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident happened around 9:45 Monday morning on Route C, north of Huntsville in Randolph County. The Patrol says a defective tie rod on a semi driven by 40 year old Anthony Columbus caused the vehicle to catch fire. The semi then went off the road, and became fully engulfed.
Columbus was able to escape the semi without any injuries. It's described as a total loss.
