Feds say Russell Miller, 52, planned to distribute 50 grams or more of Meth

A Quincy man's been indicted on a Federal meth charge.

The West Central Illinois Task Force says the charge stems from an investigation that started in April, and that they served 52 year old Russell Miller with that federal indictment Wednesday morning at the Adams County Jail. Miller was being held on State charges of Unlawful Meth Delivery, and was due to go on trial in August. That charge was dropped for the Federal case. In a statement, the Task Force says Miller was taken to the Federal District Court House in Springfield, were he was charged with Unlawful Meth Possession over 50 grams. Federal authorities say he planned to distribute 50 grams or more of meth in Adams County in early April.

Miller's pleaded Not Guilty, and will go on trial in District court in Springfield August 8th. He'll have a pre-trial hearing next month.
