DeWeese had earlier pleaded Guilty to one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. As part of a settlement with prosecutors, three similar counts were dropped.DeWeese was indicted on the charges in October 2017 by a Federal Grand Jury, and admitted to having inappropriately recorded video of children in his home. Authorities said the incidents happened from January 2014 to November 2016. Quincy police arrested DeWeese at his home in the 2200 block of Payson Avenue, after getting a tip from the Division of Children and Family Services.

Police had said they foundĀ "numerous hidden cameras and microphones" while searching his home.
