Also has hearing for Animal Cruelty charge next month

A Quincy veterinarian has had his hearing set for January before a state licensing board that’s issued 15 complaints against him, including allegations of animal cruelty.

Dr. Drew Kaiser was in Chicago for a formal pre-hearing before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations Thursday. That board has issued various allegations against Kaiser, including one charge of animal cruelty, where he allegedly pulled 14 teeth from a dog in for a different procedure, then failed to suture the dog’s gums and let it bleed to death.

Kaiser lost his Animal Control contract with the city in July, due to the allegations against him. His hearing is set to begin January 10th. Kaiser also faces a charge of Animal Cruelty in Adams County. A hearing in that case is set for October 28th.
