Radio Play to Help Museum

Radio Play to Help Museum

7 years, 7 months ago by Jim Dewey

Muddy River Radio is back on the air, or, back anyway.  We never were on the air, yet. But – this Saturday night September, 24th Muddy River Radio will present its adaptation of Orson Wells’ radio play “Huck,” which was itself adapted from Mark Twain’s “Huckleberry Finn.”

The radio theatre production is being presented by Golden Eagle Distributing and the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum as a fund raiser for the museum in the Museum Gallery.

The play highlights the comedic scenes of Twain’s novel and follows Huck and Jim down the Mighty Mississippi as they meet a variety of colorful characters along the way.

Jim Waddell is directing the play which features the acting talents of Bob Yapp, Jordan Hosmer, W. T. Johnson, Clark Cruikshank, Frank Elmore and Caleb Brookshire.  Rob Ahrens provides musical interludes and the cast works in all of the sound effects live.

Show time is 7 o’clock with doors opening at 6.

Tickets are 10 dollars for Associate Members of the museum and 15 dollars otherwise. The price includes food and drink.
