Will be sentenced Sept 19
A Hannibal man has pleaded Guilty in Federal Court to two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child.
Court records show that Patrick Smith entered that plea last week at a hearing in St. Louis District Federal Court. He had been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury earlier this year, after his arrest in Marion County last August on three counts of sodomy. Smith admitted that he twice sexually abused an 8 year old child last August, and filmed the incidents with his phone. In all, Marion County court documents alleged that Smith had 7 videos on his cell phone portraying inappropriate acts with the child.
Smith is due to be sentenced September 19th.
