Threat made Wednesday night; school and QPD investigating

The Quincy Public School District and Quincy police are investigating a threat made on social media Wednesday night.

According to an internal memo obtained by our news-gathering partner KHQA, the threat targeted Quincy Senior High School. QHS Principal Danielle Arnold says parents were told early Thursday morning via Skylert message about the threat. Arnold said that the message told parents that a concern was brought to QHS and QPD late Wednesday evening regarding a social media post made by a Quincy High School student. According to Arnold, quote, "the concern has been addressed to ensure the safety of our students, staff and school."

Quincy Police say they're "aware" of the threat and will work to gather further details on the situation.
