Quincy-based State Senator joins GOP Leadership team
Illinois State Senator Jil Tracy of Quincy is now a part of the Republican leadership team in the Senate.
Tracy was named Minority Whip Tuesday by Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady. A statement from the GOP says that Tracy has "taken the lead on crucial issues impacting the state." The list includes ag industry improvements, school funding reform, veterans’ issues, legislative ethics, and the reporting of sexual assault and harassment. The statement also says that Tracy has been "a key advocate for the patient care and safety of the residents of the Quincy Veterans’ Home." Tracy says she's looking forward to "working closely with the Senate Leadership Team."
Senate Democrats maintained their super-majority in the Senate in the November 6th election.
