Found in wooded area Thursday morning
The Illinois State Police say that the body of a missing Quincy woman has been found, hours after they and Adams County authorities started a third day of searching for her.
The ISP canceled their Endangered Missing Person Advisory Thursday morning for 69 year old Mary Lou Anderson. A release from ISP Trooper Mike Kindhart says that Anderson's body was found in a wooded area during a search. He adds that Crime Scene Investigators are on scene as of late Thursday morning, and that an investigation continues. The ISP and the Adams County Sheriff's Office had been searching for Anderson since Monday night in an area around Rim Road, east of Interstate 172 between Broadway and State. That included aerial searches by both plane and drone.
Anderson had been last seen walking on Rim Road near State Street east of Quincy around 4:30 PM Monday afternoon.
