Troup says that the city's investigation into how the city's network was compromised continues. He says that while the city was able to issue paychecks to employees late last week, some vendors have had to wait.

Troup says he hopes that everything will be back to normal within the next two weeks. The Council heard a first reading of an ordinance that would create a Director of Public Works for the city. Mayor Troup said that he wants City Engineer Jeffrey Conte to take the position, which would have Central Services Director Kevin McClean report to Conte. A resolution to change current Senior Project Engineer Steve Bange's title to Engineering Manager was tabled for two weeks. The Council did approve hiring Carrie Potter as the City's Director of Human Resources.
