Violated parole after 2015 meth conviction
A Quincy man, facing trial in Adams County on drug and weapons charges, has been sentenced to three years in prison, after violating his parole in Missouri.
62 year old Michael Curtis was sentenced Wednesday in Ralls County court after Judge David Mobley found that he had violated the terms of his parole. Curtis had been convicted in Ralls County for meth possession in 2015, and prosecutors say he had a positive drug test in late September. Curtis is also charged in Adams County with meth possession, as well as unlawful use of a weapon and a felon in possession of a weapon. That’s after a raid on his home in March by the West Central Illinois Task Force.
That trial's expected to start in January.
