Anthony Westemeyer to spend 30 years in prison
A Pike County, Illinois man, who's pleaded Guilty to Federal child sex charges, will serve a long prison sentence.
Anthony Westemeyer of Nebo was in U.S. District Court in Springfield Wednesday, where he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He'll also have five years' supervised release once he's free, and will have to pay $2,000 restitution. Westemeyer pleaded Guilty last July to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. A co-defendant, Michael Wallace, has pleaded Guilty to one count of aiding drug distribution and is serving a six-year prison sentence. A third man, Bobby Warner, has pleaded Guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child and will be sentenced May 14th. The men were indicted in early September 2021. The indictment alleged that in May 2021, the three men caused a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct three different times. They then recorded the incidents and stored the files on a computer. Westemeyer is also facing two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault in Pike County, Illinois.
Warner is being held by U.S. Marshals.
