Sheriff's Office identifies man as Bruce Gilker

A Quincy man, armed with a weapon, was arrested at 3:30 Wednesday morning inside Camp Point nursing home.

Adams County Sheriff Brian Vonderhaar says deputies were called to the Timberpoint Healthcare Center because a man with a gun was roaming the halls. Deputies disarmed 39 year old Bruce Gilker, and took him into custody. Gilker is jailed facing charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm and ammunition without a firearm owners identification card, and aggravated assault. Authorities say Timberpoint Healthcare went into lock-down for a while.

No residents or staff were harmed in the incident.
